Our Year in Review

As we begin the new year, we wanted to take the time to recap some highlights from 2018, so we have compiled a list of our favorite SeeUnity moments.

Product Updates: In January, we were able to improve our Velocity Content Migration (Velocity) solution by introducing the Velocity Auto Loader feature.  This further streamlined the migration process and made moving content between repositories much simpler.

To combat the complexity of configurations during a migration, support for migration templates was also added to Velocity.  These templates predefine the source, target, transformation, as well as other factors in a specific migration scenario, in order to shorten the time it takes to start a project.  For example, the iManage on-premise to iManage cloud template supports on-premise mapping and documents to the cloud.

Another update was the development of our full REST API capabilities in March, which allowed programmatic access to SeeUnity’s connectors.

These are just a few of the updates we have made to our products.  We are constantly innovating to make our solutions better for our clients and customers.  For a more in-depth product update, look for a new Dan’s Dev Corner, coming soon.

Customer Success Stories:  One of the best parts of looking back on 2018 is seeing how our solutions made and are making a difference for companies.  By utilizing Echo Content Synchronization (Echo), Neal, Gerber and Eisenberg, a law firm, were able to improve attorney workflow and securely integrate their iManage DMS with HighQ’s Collaborate System.  Bryan Cave LLP and Berwin Leighton Paisner LLP successfully merged their companies and were able to also securely integrate and collaborate using Echo.

Another one of our products, Velocity Content Migration (Velocity), was used by Thompson, Coe, Cousins and Irons LLP to efficiently migrate their content to the iManage Cloud.  Buford Capital utilized Velocity as well, to transition from their legacy DMS to the iManage Cloud.

Two other companies found success using the Fusion Content Integration (Fusion) product.  The first was Polaris UK Limited, who was able to improve employee productivity by integrating their eDocs and Salesforce systems.  Fox Entertainment Group also employed Fusion to integrate the same systems as Polaris, allowing for a more streamlined deal approval process between their sales and legal teams.

We are constantly working with different clients to provide content solutions.  These success stories are just an overview of some of companies we have helped in 2018.

Partners: We were pleased to enter into a Technology Partnership with iManage this past spring.  This partnership is beneficial to both companies and means reduced cost, complexity, and risk for iManage customers, enabling them to be up and running with iManage sooner.

In September, we celebrated 50 shared customers with another one of our partners, HighQ.  This partnership allowed us to be a part of the Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner merger, mentioned above.

These partnerships are just two of the highlights from 2018.  We are thankful for all of our partners, as these alliances help us and our partners extend the value and reach of our solutions.

ILTACON: This past year’s ILTACON brought new opportunities with the introduction of the Education Hub.  Ryan Bond, SeeUnity’s Vice President of Professional Services, was a featured speaker.  He discussed how firms are bundling their business applications ecosystem together with the ability to archive, sync, or publish content from one system to another using SeeUnity’s products.  This was a great way to showcase the value of the behind the scenes Echo and Fusion products with a handful of our customer’s use cases.

News-  Here are just a few of our features in case you missed them:  We were featured in ILTA’s Summer and Winter Peer to Peer magazines.  SeeUnity’s CEO Dan Anderson’s article about moving to the cloud and our Burford Capital case study were both in the summer edition, while our work with Fox Entertainment Group was mentioned in the winter issue.

The end of the year also brought the opportunity to work with Ari Kaplan, a legal industry analyst.  He featured Dan Anderson on the October addition of his podcast, “Reinventing Professionals.”  Like ILTACON, it was another chance to talk about the unique ways SeeUnity can help law firms, as well as other companies.

Legal IT Professionals picked up a couple intriguing articles written by our CTO Dan Hunsinger:  Content Transformation: The Key to Optimizing Cloud-Migrations (Dec.) and Evolving Content Migration in the Legal Cloud Era (Nov.).

Community: We love to give back to our community, so one of the high points of the year was our work with the Larimer County Boys and Girls club.  We partnered with Wish for Wheels in September to build bikes for a local school (featured photo).

Overall, 2018 was a busy year for SeeUnity.  Our products are continuing to help companies all over the world improve the business workflow, and we are thankful for all the attention this brought us throughout the year.  We are excited for what 2019 will bring.
