Ten Sessions to Catch at ILTACON 2018
As always, we are so excited about this time of the year. ILTACON is one of our favorite events and we can’t wait to catch up with customers, partners, and old friends. ILTACON is packed with great sessions. Here are our top ten, must attend, sessions.
1. The Age of The Customer Calls for Secure External Sharing – Extend and Collaborate
This year, ILTA has provided the opportunity for organizations like us to hold Education Sessions in the exhibit hall. Our VP of Professional Services, Ryan Bond, will be holding one of these sessions, Tuesday, August 21st from 2:50 PM – 3:10 PM. In this quick 20-minute session, Ryan will discuss why it is beneficial for firms to share content externally with third-party applications. He will also describe some different options for file sharing in law firms and corporate legal departments. Additionally, Ryan will share use cases about how the most innovative firms have integrated their various line of business applications.
2. If You Build It, Will They Communicate? Driving Social Collaboration
Stuart Barr, from HighQ, will be a part of the group speaking on this subject which includes a couple firms that are joint clients of SeeUnity and HighQ. This session, held Tuesday, August 21st, from 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM, will cover how to determine if social collaboration is right for your organization. If it is, how to build a business case, design enticing collaboration spaces, and how to convince people within your organization to move their conversations online. Check it out!
3. Legal Operations and Law Firm KM Collaboration
Sticking with our friends at HighQ, Rob MacAdam will be speaking on the subject of knowledge management and legal operations on Tuesday, August 21st from 1:30 PM – 2:30 PM. This session will address elements of successful legal department and law firm knowledge management collaboration. Firms must understand the varying nature of their legal operations colleagues’ technological and business landscape to be successful. Additionally, they need to understand how things can differ dramatically from typical law firms. Learn more about the session, here.
4. New Frontiers In Enterprise Search
One of our newest partners, iManage, has many sessions this year. This first one, held Monday, August 20th from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM, will be joined by Simon Pecovnik of iManage. This session will focus on what the future holds for enterprise search. You may change your thinking about enterprise search being a mature industry! Read more about the session here!
5. How Knowledge Management is Achieving its Goals in a Security-Centric World
This compelling session will be joined by Ian Raine of iManage. This session will focus on learning how firms are rethinking their document-based knowledge management strategy, finding alternatives to the traditional ways of sourcing precedents, and trying to strike a balance between security and access to information. This session will be held Thursday morning at 9:00 AM, so you don’t want to leave the conference early!
6. Auto-Classification is Real: Don’t Let Perfect be the Enemy of Good
This session is a two for one deal as we have two partners speaking. Jan Van Hoecke from iManage will be speaking and Rich Hale from Active Navigation will also be speaking. This session will cover case studies on successful implementations of auto-classification. The discussion will include establishing a scope for the effort, upfront decisions and considerations to be made, and developing rules. This session will take place on Tuesday, August 21st from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM. Check out the details here.
7. How to Build Your First Blockchain App (Blockchain Series, Part 3 of 4)
If you’re excited about Blockchain, this is the session for you! Our friends at NetDocuments, Peter Buck and Brad Clements, are leading this highly interactive session and will provide hands-on, practical guidelines for moving forward with a Blockchain application! This session is scheduled for Wednesday, August 22nd, from 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM. Read more about the session here.
8. Security Audits 2018: Keeping Up With the Questions!
Who needs Keeping Up with the Kardashians when you have Keeping Up With the Questions? In this session, David Hansen of NetDocuments is part of a panel of experts who will share their insights on the latest trends in security audits. Additionally, they will also discuss best practices in how to respond and how to track audits to ensure you remain popular with your customers. Join the session Tuesday, August 21st at 3:30 PM, just after our education session!
9. Collaboration Platform Strategies: How They Overlap and How to Use Them Effectively
Rounding out our partner speaking sessions is this one. Dan Hauck from NetDocuments will be speaking in this session that addresses the who, what, and where in terms of collaboration data. Discover how to implement internal and external controls and find the intersection of security and governance. This session will be held Tuesday, August 21st from 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM. 10. KILL THE COMPANY: End the Status Quo, Start an Innovation Revolution
Last, but not least, be sure to attend Monday’s keynote at 9:00 AM! ILTACON is all about innovation, and this session is going to nail it on the head when it comes to firms’ need for innovations. Far too many firms are stuck in the status quo. The exhibit hall is going to be packed with innovative technology providers, and this is the session to get attendees amped up to find the best solutions.
