Content Management Interoperability Services (CMIS) is an open industry standard that allows inter-operability of content management systems. CMIS was originally a sponsored AIIM initiative, but is now administered by OASIS. This open standard provides a common data model for files, folders, and limited functions across multiple platforms. Now in addition to our extensive list of native ECM connectors, we support the CMIS connector.
With increasing demand for using the CMIS connector for basic functions, we have officially completed our CMIS connector. The CMIS connector supports interoperability between at least 13 ECM systems; however, supported capabilities provided by each ECM differ. This connector will be used in addition to our native connectors which provide deeper integration and a higher level of functionality between ECM systems.
