APRIL 23, 2015 – DENVER, CO: Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) has selected SeeUnity’s Velocity Content Migration to be used as a content migration solution. A contract has been awarded to SeeUnity’s reseller Riptyde Solutions. PWGSC, in response to a government initiative to standardize its document and records management to GCDOCS, a platform based on OpenText Content Server, aims to improve efficiency and effectiveness through the use of a single, secure, and organized location for all the information created. PWGSC will be the first Government of Canada Department to make the transition using SeeUnity’s migration solution.
With over an estimated 45 terabytes of information (over 17 million documents) stored across multiple repositories, moving PWGSC documents to GCDOCS is no small task. After reviewing all RFP responses, PWGSC found SeeUnity’s migration solution to meet all mandatory requirements and a Contract has been awarded.
“We have worked extensively at creating a robust migration software that is capable of handling every type of migration from simple to complex. Our goal is to continually work with our customers to provide migration solutions that simplify the migration process and ultimately reduce the risk and complexity associated with such a project.” Says Dan Hunsinger, CTO, SeeUnity.
