iManage Work 10.2
Last week, the team at iManage held a webinar about the new features and benefits of iManage Work 10.2. We are going to highlight just a few of those features here.
1. iManage Work for all users
iManage has aimed to make the platform more usable for all kinds of users, not just lawyers. They have changed the features and functionalities to appeal to non-DMS users to increase user adoption among other departments within a firm. For example, there are new jobs that are made for non-lawyers, so users can save and maintain their content in iManage. Since a good portion of the market are Mac and iPhone/iPad users, they also focused on making it easier for them to use iManage.
2. Automatic updates
With many iManage users moving to the iManage cloud lately, it is no surprise that iManage Work 10.2 includes automatic updates. That is essentially one of the main benefits of switching to the cloud. Included with this change will be a new feature where iManage users can access information and tips about what’s new when the system is upgraded. Think Apple’s Tips each time they release a new iOS version. This feature is also intended to help with user adoption.
3. Improved workflow and email management
With user adoption in mind, iManage also improved workflow by refining their search capabilities. Now, users are able to sort iManage information contextually. Additionally, by allowing users to use an author search in conjunction with an operator search, content can be found more quickly. They also added a double click feature that will allow users to quickly open documents in edit mode. iManage also focused a lot of their efforts on email management, making it easier for users to file emails into iManage matters.
While this list is not exhaustive of all the improvements that iManage Work 10.2 is equipped with, they do illustrate iManage’s focus on increasing user adoption by making it more user-friendly to both lawyers and non-lawyers that might use the system. iManage has made a new release almost quarterly this year, so in a few short months, we hope to be writing another update like this one.
